Making Puppets with Odd Lot Puppetery Co.

I just spent two enjoyable Saturdays making a mouth and rod puppet in St. Albert with Tyler and Brendan of Odd Lot Puppetry Company. Here are some pictures of the workshop as everyone's puppet neared completion. (My puppet is shown at home.) I love how they start out as inannimate objects but as soon as their eyes go on, they come alive.

France 2013

--> My annual trip to France was different last year. I spent time is smaller towns and cities where I occupied my time by painting watercolors, making felt books, and eavesdropping on conversations. My French improved and I had time for reflection.
This little painting was done at a friend's house in Janville. It shows her aged father is sleeping in the chaise lounge.

New hobby: quilting

This is still in the process of being sewn but already looks quite intriguing. If you look closely you can see all the vegetables: lettuce, garlic, tomatoes, beets, artichokes, carrots and olives. The end result should fit nicely on the dining room table.
